Strengths:
I love teaching middle school kids! Great rapport with students, good motivator, loving and
nurturing yet firm and demanding. Respectful attitude towards students. Passionate about working with
kids in this age group, understanding of their needs and challenges during this stage in their life.

Personal:
Grew up in Flat Rock, Michigan. Married to John, and have a stepson, Jordan, currently a senior in high school.

Passion / Interests:
Love, love, love to travel! I have been lucky enough to spend time in Africa, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, rafted the Zambezi River, visited the following countries in Africa: Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Island of Zanzibar. Sparked an overall interest in the country of Africa. Traveled also to Indonesia, China, Germany, Austria, Italy, Costa Rica, West Indies, Venezuela, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Turkey and Fiji.

Love to ski and snowboard, practice yoga, cook, relax on a beach somewhere, hike and spend my spring
and summer on my road bike and mountain bike with my husband.

Your Vision for SCCS Middle School:
Create a culture of motivated, enthusiastic learners. The Upper School experience should provide and environment in which students develop a positive self image as well as explore their aptitudes, interest, and special talents.

This experience should foster a sense of belonging to a small community of learners, and prepare our students for transition to High School, helping them to assume a greater responsibility for their own future.
