Strengths:
Motivating students, organization, multi-tasking (Multi-tasking Mama is my nickname!), high expectations for students, data diva, communication with parents, humor, Circle of Friends (open, honest respectful forum for classmates to speak their minds), time management, caring attitude, challenging classroom environment, excellent classroom management, empowering students, molding self-disciplined citizens.
Personal:
If you ask me where I’m from, I’ll raise my hand, point, and say, “I’m from Bay City, Michigan.” Growing up in Michigan offered me opportunities such as fishing for dogfish and pike on my grandparents’ lake, selling snails on the roadside, and rink roller skating to MC Hammer on Friday nights. I’ve played softball and volleyball since grade school, love the piano, and was an avid Spelling Bee participant/winner (now you know why I host our annual spelling bee).
After nannying in Florida, backpacking throughout Europe, and living in Bermuda, I married into an
Austrian heritage. Thomas and I have been married for 5.5 years, we have a son, Axel, who is quickly approaching 1 year, and a giant Weimaraner, Jack Diesel. Lastly, I love to make people laugh and vice versa.
Passion / Interests:
I love Yoga! I also love sushi, so my summer job at SATO Restaurant for the past 2 years has served me well. Among my interests are snowboarding, muay thai kickboxing, fishing, softball, thrift store and garage sale shopping.
