Education:
- BA from San Diego State University
- Training Professional education courses at Florida Atlantic University, Mary Lewis Writing seminar, Harry Wong classroom management and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) endorsed.
Experience:
From the sandy beaches of Florida to the rocky mountains of Colorado. This Kindergarten teacher has experienced new heights in her career! With six strong years as a kindergartner educator I bring a sense of adventure, a love of learning and an innovative approach to my classroom.
Personal:
When I’m not molding the minds of the future, I find myself on the ski slopes, snowshoeing with my dog and husband, and continuing my overall education. I believe that my early contact with our youth is key to their overall educational achievement and success. I truly believe that the foundation I set makes a difference in each and every student’s lives. This is what keeps me continually motivated and striving to be a better leader and educator.
Your Vision for SCCS School:
As we look toward to the future, the fundamentals that I implement in my classroom not only stay with my students for that year, but are the groundwork for their entire educational career. As a primary educator, this is paramount for my motivation to succeed in the educational field.

Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
- Induction and ELA courses to receive my Professional Teaching License.
Experience:
After receiving my degree, I did my first semester student teaching in a 3rd grade class in Greeley and my second in a ½ classroom at a charter school in Thornton. I did my first year of teaching in a traditional public school and taught Kindergarten. The 2 years prior to moving to Stone Creek I taught Kindergarten at a charter school in Denver. As you can see I have taught Kindergarten for 3 years before coming to Stone Creek. I love to teach Kindergarten because I love being around kids and learning from them. I love to find the interests of each student and bring it into the classroom to help them learn to love exploring new ideas and develop areas they are passionate in.
Personal:
I am a Colorado native. I grew up in northern Colorado and moved to Denver 3 ½ years ago to begin my teaching career. I moved to the valley about two weeks ago. I am very excited to be here and enjoy all that the valley has to offer.
Passion / Interests:
I enjoy teaching, reading, learning, biking, hiking, exploring, and spending time with my family and friends. Being a Colorado native I have never been skiing or snowboarding so I am interested in learning to do either or both this winter.
Your Vision for SCCS:
I hope to help my students become motivated about learning. Kindergarten is such an important year for children and I hope to use our curriculum and my excitement and love of learning to make it a great year for my students.
