About us

What is the SCCS Parent Guild?

The SCCS Parent Guild is committed to creating a community that enriches the lives of our students, families, and staff at SCCS. We strive to keep all parents informed of school news, facilitate volunteering, champion new ideas, and help maintain the school/home connection.

Welcome To The Parent Guild!

The Guild is committed to supporting and enriching our SCCS community and strengthening the climate and culture of Stone Creek for students, parents, teachers, and administrators.  The Guild is responsible for raising funds to support the vision and mission of SCCS and for fostering fellowship, spirit, and pride among our SCCS community. We are the cheerleaders, ambassadors, volunteers, and heart of Stone Creek. We hope you will join us today!

The Guild is run by an Executive Committee comprised of parents, teachers, and administrators who meet monthly to help organize and manage events and programs sponsored by the Guild. The Executive Committee coordinates parent volunteers devoted to the success of specific SCCS programs and events.

The Guild is organized in such a manner that monthly meeting attendance is NOT necessary to participate.  We recognize parents are busy juggling their own and their children’s lives and do not need to attend endless meetings.  Instead, we work to maintain open lines of communication and work efficiently within small working groups to support the school and our children.

As a fledgling organization, just kicking off our third school year, the Guild is working hard to strengthen communications.  In the 2019-2020 school year, we will strive to keep parents informed of school news, facilitate volunteering, and champion new ideas while maintaining the school/home connection.

Parent Guild organizes a variety of programs throughout the year, including:

  • Ice Cream Social

  • Back to School Night

  • Fundraising Events

  • First Fridays

  • Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Parent Socials

  • Volunteer Coordination and Communication

We need your help to make a difference.
